Extend the Impact
The goal of the Palau Association's Next Generation Alliance®
is to encourage and equip the new generation of evangelists. NGA
plans and coordinates outreach initiatives throughout the world
and invites its network of evangelists to take part. Luis Palau's
Next Generation Alliance Extend the Impact Conference will be
held August 20-23, 2008 in conjunction with Portland City-Fest
in Portland, Oregon. There's something for everyone
from
evangelists and ministry leaders to fundraising directors and
spouses of leaders.
The conference will be held at Cedar Mill Bible Church and will
be a wonderful opportunity to network with NGA evangelists and
attend the Portland Cityfest with Luis Palau.

PEN eSchool 2008
We count it as a wonderful opportunity to once again offer the
PEN eSchool in conjunction with the Billy Graham School of Evangelism.
You will be afforded the opportunity to drink from a fountain
of knowledge and experience in the days that we are together!
Our next PEN eSchool is scheduled for August 26-29 at The
Cove in Asheville, North Carolina.
This year we are especially excited about a couple of unique opportunities
that we will have. Tom Phillips, VP of Crusades for the BGEA,
has agreed to lead a special workshop for the PEN Evangelists.
Tom has agreed to unpack what BGEA has learned in over 50 years
of proclaiming the Good News. Tom will be giving principles as
well as helping each of us translate those principles into our
present situation.
We have also secured a special hour with our brother Cliff Barrows.
He will be speaking directly to us as evangelists from a heart
that has given itself to the Good News for all these years.

South Carolina BeachFest
BeachFest in South Carolina was the first Andrew Palau festival
to be held in the United States. Andrew has directed and spoken
at many evangelistic festivals presented by his father, global
evangelist and author Luis Palau. Beachfest was a partnership
with area churches, local businesses and close to 1000 volunteers
who assembled a free, family friendly festival on the grounds
of the former Myrtle Square Mall.
In the remainder of 2008, Palau will speak at evangelistic events
in Scotland, England, Uganda, Mexico, and in a number of U.S.
cities including his home town of Portland, Oregon.

We Have An Altar
This is the time of year when many in the Pentecostal/Charismatic
family of churches are celebrating camp meetings and youth camps.
In these special gatherings there is family-style fellowship,
dynamic music and anointed preaching. There is, however, one central
transforming experience from these meetings that cannot be replaced:
the life-changing experience with God at the altar. The promise
that "we have an altar" not only describes our heritage
but, if embraced, will determine our horizon for the future.
May we never forget, and never fail to impart to the next generation,
that "we have an altar" - that special place and experience
with God where we experience confession of our sins, transformational
Change, a special consecration/closeness to God, the communion
of the saints, and our purpose for living in His Commission into
the world.

Colombia Festivals
We have just returned from our Columbia Festivals where we were
given the use of the Nueva Centro Cultural (New Cultural Center)
on the central plaza in Paipa for the evening meetings, and were
in the markets and plazas holding street meetings. Hundreds attended,
and many received the Lord both in the open-air outreaches as
well as in the evening meetings. One drunken hat salesman in the
farm market fell to the ground under deep conviction as we ministered
to him. When he came back up and received Christ into his heart,
he was a different person.
In Chia, Columbia we saw a large percentage of those who were
present come forward for prayer, some with real brokenness. One
alcoholic fell to the floor and onto his knees during the meeting
crying out to God on his with tears to deliver him from the alcoholism
that was destroying his life. There were also families who came
forward for prayer for a deeper work of the Lord in their hearts
and homes. The needs here are very deep and often heartbreaking,
and it was a great blessing to have so many available to pray
for those who needed help, one by one. The Lord was moving on
the hearts of the members of the evangelistic team, also, giving
repentance and bringing us all into a deeper yieldedness to our
Lord.

the upcoming PEN Newsletter, we have set Wednesday, October
15, 2008 at 12:00 noon central time as the deadline. We will
try to run as many articles as possible, but we can not guarantee
that your article will be included in the upcoming PEN

Below you will find a list of qualifications for data that will
be included in the PEN newsletter.

3) All other information will be included only upon a space availability
basis. We will rank importance according to PEN guidelines.
